Drapers reports that George at Asda’s executive managing director, Andrew Moore,will be stepping into the role of chief merchandising officer for both Asda and George at Asda. The George brand is regarded by analysts as one of the reasons for Asda’s recent sales success.

Telegraph: Asda may add holograms to sales staff

Asda has already tried virtual assistants in its shops to the satisfaction of its customers; Now the chain is considering expanding the program. Hologram sales assistants advise customers of sales and promotions and can also be programed make product suggestions.
